PRAYER
Spiritual Practice
What do you think about when prayer comes up? Solemn silence, peaceful release, awkward language, genuine connection? If we are honest, prayer can be really hard sometimes. Yet, we are invited to engage in prayer without ceasing.
It is an area of the Christian life that is often fraught with questions, doubts, frustrations, and even misconceptions. We can feel that our prayers are ineffective or have no ability to cause change in the lives of the people we pray for. Those feelings can drive us to seek the “correct” way to pray in the hopes that if we could just pray the right way, God would hear us and answer our prayers. We believe that there is a reliance and invitation of prayer for us.
This page has resources we would invite you to consider around prayer.
Teach Us To Pray
In this series we are journeying through what Darrell Johnson writes are “57 words that change the world” - the Lord’s Prayer.
We will be considering this practice of talking and being with God, and see how it is something concrete and relevant to each of us, something that has a profound effect on our daily experience of life.
Never prayed, haven’t prayed for a while, or perhaps your prayer life has gone stale?
Our hope is that you might be re-energized in this powerful practical practice of Prayer.
