IN THE GARDEN - New Series

Life comes at us fast, and prayer can feel like an unnatural pause in the midst of it. These aren’t meant to be empty words hurled at the sky, or a ritual to be checked off a Christian “to-do” list. Prayer is meant to be purposeful and meaningful.

Jesus teaches us how to pray and His whole life shows us how to engage in prayer in every moment. In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus demonstrated that how and what we pray matters. Prayer isn’t about saying the right words, in the right order, at the right pitch or volume in order to bend God’s ear our way. Prayer is a way to lean on, or express trust in God in everything we may face - good and bad. We will consider postures of intercession, thanksgiving, exhortation and many others as we consider ways to pray for today and tomorrow.

Let’s join Jesus in the garden and pray.
