Prayer is simply the medium through which we communicate and commune with God. The practice of prayer is learning to set aside dedicated time to intentionally be with God, in order to become like him and partner with him in the world. While fasting is going without food for a set amount of time to awaken our body and soul to our deep hunger and need for God. (practicingtheway.com)
This commitment hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out. Practices like prayer and fasting enable us to celebrate the goodness and mercy of God. It prepares our hearts for all the good things God desires to bring into our lives. We encourage you to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do.
As a church community we are committing to 21 days of prayer starting on September 17 and a communal fast from Oct 1-7. Throughout the fast there will be prompts, encouragements, and opportunities to gather and pray.
